A warm hello to our audio-making family from the team behind All The Best.
Alongside our monthly newsletter (your go-to for episode recaps, events and opportunities with ATB and across the audio-verse), we’re sneaking in this newsletter to spotlight works made for our final Audio Club challenge of 2025: the 24 Hour Radio Race.
Working from the theme ~ Mirrored ~ makers from Australia and internationally made short-form audio magic in just 24 hours. There’s stories about enchanted forest journeys, seeing yourself in someone you love, being supplanted by your AI assistant and more.
Here’s what one producer had to say about the process:
This was an interesting and revealing experience. By having to move forward on my ideas quickly, I wasn’t able to edit and over refine things. This feels more raw and close to reflecting my true emotions than other creative works I’ve done, I think because of the time limit and also the interesting theme. - Harper Tacent
Keep an eye on our newsletters and socials for future Audio Club challenge announcements. Until then, keep listening, keep experimenting and keep creating.
All The Best,
Mel, Kwame and Catarina

Where the water knows your name by Sound Commons Project (UK/Italy)

This story was based on the producers’ experience rescuing a little owlet one summer, as pictured above. The song featured at the end is an original composition created especially for this challenge (music by Luca Gambirasio, with lyrics and vocals by Charity Rosario).
Perfect by Harper Tacent (USA)
